The General Membership meeting has been re-scheduled:

Due to excessive snow in the York area,
the Mt. Wolf facility is NOT available
to host the General Membership meeting on 2/13/10.

11/21/2009:
         Club page for Susquehanna Valley Horseshoe Club (Selingsgrove) has been updated.

         EPHPA Directors' Meeting held 11/15/09. Minutes will be posted when approved.
        2009 Membership minutes approved and will be posted shortly.

Camping & Program Book

The Warren County horseshoe league has contacted the Warren County Fairboard and there will be camping available right at the courts. The cost is $15.00 per night and includes water and electric. There is also a dump station available.

Any individuals that would like their name included in the 2009 PA State Singles Tournament Program Book - we have a one line business or personal ad for $2.00. If you could get your ads sent to us either by email or postal service that would be great. Our address is 5441 Rt. 957 Russell, PA 16345.

On Wednesday May 13th, ABC's Good Morning America will feature horseshoepitching with Alan and Amy Francis.

They're doing a week long "fun week" event, where the show's anchors learn different sports, and then have a competition on Friday May 15th, all on live nation wide TV. This is a great opportunity to showcase our sport as something much more than a picnic activity.

Our NHPA 2nd VP Tina Hawkins is coordinating the horseshoe portion of the event, and will be there to help commentate and inform the audience about our sport.

So....set your VCR's and DVR's to record this historical event, or just make plans to watch. There will be a complete report about this in an upcoming Newsline article.



4/30/2009:
         PLEASE... only use cell phone numbers to contact Tournament Directors on the day of the tournament in case you have a problem, need directions, etc. Many Tournament Directors carry their cell phones at all times, and cannot take personal calls during work hours.

 Susquehanna Valley Horseshoe Club in Selingsgrove is hosting its first NHPA sanctioned tournament on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Even if you're not pitching, please stop by and welcome this new club to the Eastern Pennsylvania Horseshoe Pitchers Association.

Important Eligibility Note:

In order to qualify for the 2008 World Tournament in York,
all adult entrants must have completed
at least four (4) NHPA sanctioned events between May 15, 2007 and May 15, 2008 .
Juniors only need one sanctioned event.

Make sure you get your NHPA tournaments or league events completed
in order to meet the May 15,2008 deadline !
