Eastern Pennsylvania Horseshoe Pitchers Association:

MEDICAL EXEMPTIONS

Both pages of the Medical Exemption Form to be submitted to EPHPA Secretary once completed

All pitchers are encouraged to submit a Medical Exemption Form to pitch from less than 40' if they are not able to pitch from 40' due to medical reasons. This never applies to the ability to pitch from less than 40' due to change in age.

There will now be 2 categories of Medical Exemption: Permanent and Temporary.

Permanent Medical Exemptions never need renewal.

Temporary Medical Exemptions will be for instances in which the pitcher is expected to eventually be able to move back to 40'. An example would be following surgery.

Temporary Medical Exemptions will need to be re-submitted for review every 3 years, and the time frame will be tracked by an Executive Board Member.

Every Medical Exemption request must be approved by a 2/3 majority of the EPHPA Board.
